pah!

indeed life has once more given me a kick for modifying my car. The nice shiny alloy radiator I bought for the pre-rad has a HUGE design flaw in it.

The end tanks are plastic, cheap cheap plastic and have a brass insert for the temp switch. So There is me screwing the blanking bolt I have into the insert. I get to the third thread and twang. The brass insert is twisted in the holder and the end tank is scrapped. So the rad no longer can be used.

The supplier tells me yeah it happens a lot! Go to a local radiator specialist and they'll swap the end tanks or fix the current one by removing it and fixing the insert. Except of course when I ask the locals they say, nope can't be done but bring it in we'll see what we can do. What a crap design.
